The Rules
They are to be followed.
1.) No spamming or flooding.
This means that you will not double-post, you will not interrupt topics with an unrelated comment, and you don't reply to your own thread to bump it up if it has not received a response. If, and only if your thread hasn't received a reply in 1 week, then please post the link to your thread in Post it!. A staff member will pick it up for you as soon as they can. But please be patient.
2.) No open fire.
If you have an issue with a member, a staff member, or even an admin, then take it to Let's Settle This!, do not open fire on anyone in the C-box, in your thread, or any where else but in the appropriate place. Do not wreck havoc in someone's thread because you dislike them, if you do this you are banned. If you wish to ask a staff member for help, do so via PM.
3.) No insulting.
It's all fine to go head to head with each other, and if you want to call each other names that's all fine as long as it's for good fun, but as soon as somebody becomes personally insulting, racist, sexist or anything that can hurt someone, you're in trouble. Be sure to treat each other with respect. You will be banned, be sure of that. Remember that Pokemon is for kids, so thus try your best to keep your arguments(in good fun or not) G rated or PG-13.
4.) No interfering in rp sessions or stories.
If you're not in the story, don't reply on it. It would be considered spamming or just being blatantly stupid. In other words, do not post in threads which are labeled closed, and do not do OOC posts in threads you are not involved in. Both are not very well liked, and will result in saying goodbye to this site for 1 week. If this is continued, then you will be banned.
5.) No use of foreign languages without a proper translation.
This site is English, but if you want to name a Pokemon or character in another language, be sure to add a translation so people can understand what your saying. If your character can speak another language, be sure to add the translation. In questo modo, capito? (Like this, understand?)
6.) Don't ask for anything illegal.
No warez, appz, hacks, porn, or anything considered sick. You ask once, you will be told the rules. You ask twice, you are banned. This is very simple, so don't do it. At all.
7.) Create your topics/threads with relevant titles.
Don't name your topic "Help me" or "THIS IS COOL." This seems like common sense, doesn't it? Unfortunately, some people here don't know what common sense is. So, please, name your title something that pertains to your post. If you do name them according to what they pertain, then you'll most likely get an answer quicker.
8.) Don't use your sig(Signature) space for advertising.
This site exists to share your works and most importantly, to have fun doing it. We're not here to host a banner for you so you can make money. People hate ads as it is, and having it underneath postings makes the site look too cheap. Also, ad servers (the one that the click-through go through) have a tendency to spider the source web site (that would be us) for email addresses, which would be exploiting our email addresses for spam. If you ignore this rule, you will be warned, ignore it again, you will be tanned. Because I don't want spam in my inbox, I'm sure you don't want any either.
9.) Try to use correct grammar.
I understand some people can't speak perfect English, but at least try. No text-talk except in the C-box. This is a text based site for role playing, so like wise we try to make a good role play experience with text. Some mistakes are OK and acceptable, but if you strt typign like this, expect to be warned a few times. We have the red squiggly line for a reason and the spell check button. Please use it.
10.) Don't argue with a Moderator or an Admin.
We are here to provide the best experience for you and the general public. Please don't disagree with our actions. If you have been warned/banned by a mod, and heavily disagree, please don't lash out and fight back. It will make things worse. Contact an admin and discuss your issue intelligently. If you fail to do this, for example, by disagreeing without a reason and lash out at us, then we will not be afraid to just ban you and save us the trouble. Remember, we are willing to work with you, if you work with us first.
11. No disgusting or x-rated material in your sig, posts, or anywhere else while you're in the forums.
Not even in links. The reason for this is that lots people view the forums in public places, and smearing offensive stuff all over the forum might alert others, physically around you, that you're nothing but trouble. If you're in doubt if it might offend others, then simply don't do it. Don't use images in your sig/avatar that clearly display signs of hate groups like Nazism and the KKK, even if it's meant as a joke. Because the Admins and some members won't see it this way.
12. Keep images in your sig under 550px in width.
Images bigger than this can destroy the forum layout. It may not seem like much to you, but your Admins and Moderators worked hard to make the site look how it does, even if it doesn't seem very special.
13. Don't create an account just for shameless plugs.
We are not here to help your marketing campaign. If we see you with less than 10 posts giving away links and encouraging users to go to different places on the net, you will be banned. Even if you have more than 10 posts, and we feel that all you're doing is shamelessly smearing your good-for-nothing plugs on the forums, you will be banned. Please remember we are here for enjoyment, not for you to dump your plugs in.
14. Don't fill the staff's PM box with approval requests.
Nor may you send a PM simply asking a staff member to look at the thread, as we all know the reasoning behind that. Making them go through PMs only wastes that time and annoys them, making them less inclined to approve. An exception to this rule may be made when the staff member you are PMing is a specific person whose approval you need, or your profile has gone unchecked for over 24 hours.
15. Use Readable Colors
We have some people here with color blindness, and sometimes people seem to use colors that are unreadable either way. Try to use easily read colors as much as possible, and they often vary depending on the skins. Pay attention to which skin is the default skin, and make sure it can be read on that. While using colors are fun, please make sure they also don't hurt your eyes or anyone else. Like blue might be to painful to read for some people.
16. Back Up Your Stuff.
Make sure you have all of your profiles or anything that you want to have for the future saved. Character profiles, weapons, anything that you might want to keep. Have it saved on your own computer. We try not to delete anything, but if a mistake happens, we are not liable, of course we try to store everything in Storage, but no promises.
17.) Be sure that you give credit where credit is due.
If you take a picture from DeviantArt, CREDIT Deviantart. Don't use a picture and say it's yours, as some people on here are artist, they hate art-thieves or pirates. So give credit where credit is due. I will go ahead and due mine: All pictures I use for skins I found on Google Images. I own absolutely nothing and give all credit to the original artist. That wasn't very hard now was it?
Also please use only ANIME pictures for characters, no real pictures UNLESS you PM an Admin about it. If you want to use Katniss from the Hunger Games, that is allowed as long as you message an Admin or a Moderator. If you DO use a REAL PERSON as a picture for your character, you must make a Face Claim in the Face Claims section. If you want to claim a character form an actual Manga/Anime, then also post them in Face Claims. We can't have 500 Naruto's and Ash's running around now can we?[/center]
