NPC Moderator Guide
Being a NPC Moderator is easy! All you have to do is make NPC Trainers appear, Wild Pokemon appear, regulate battles in open and closed threads, keep track of your rule book, and that's about it! So here are a few things you may need to know.
Wild Pokemon Rules
1.) Roll for Legendary Chance and Shiny Chance.
How to do this was explained in the Regulations in Shiny and Legendaries. Found Here . So make sure for every encounter of a Wild Pokemon you post those rolls.
2.) Remember to roll for the Rarity Chance of Wild Pokemon.
When you also roll for a new Wild Pokemon encounter, roll for Rarity. Like this:
[dice=6] Uncommon.
This will help you see what you should pick. 1-4 is Common. 5 is Uncommon. And 6 is Rare.
3.) How to pick the Pokemon.
There are two ways to do this. The first way is to roll it's Rarity then just pick one. The other way is to roll again. We'll be using our roll of 5 above for this. Assume that there are 12 Pokemon in the choices of the ones that can appear in that Area on Uncommon. So do this:
[dice=12] Pokemon number 4.
Be sure to change the 6 to the number of Pokemon in the category for Uncommon (Common or Rare depending on the roll.)
4.) Keep within Level ranges. Don't make it impossible.
Please remember to keep your wild's levels in the range of both the route levels and to where the person your modding has an actual chance. If you make it to hard, like a level 29 vs a level 14, then you will be warned. Even if the levels on the Route FAQs say: Levels range from 14-29, that doesn't mean make every Pokemon that appears to powerful for the trainer's to fight or capture.
5.) Wild Pokemon can be on any Nature.
Go ahead and go wild! Make them sweet, hyper, needs-anger-management, or vicious. Anything is possible in Pokemon!
6.) Trainers can befriend Wild Pokemon.
Not every encounter has to be a battle, remember that humans may not be able to understand Pokemon, but Pokemon can understand People just fine. So if a trainer tries to befriend them, go along with it as long as it matches the Pokemon's nature.
7.) Strong Pokemon can appear, but they can not harm or challenge the trainer to a battle.
This is pretty simple. A Charizard can appear, but they can not fight the Trainer, but they can scare the heck out of them! Likewise they also can not capture very powerful Pokemon unless they can fight it.
NPC Trainer Rules
1.) NPC Trainers can have any Pokemon on their team but Legendaries.
So go crazy, but keep it simple.
2.) NPC Trainers must be in the level range of the Route.
Also really simple, but don't make it impossible.
3.) They can give their Pokemon to the Trainer they are fighting if...
And only if it is either a level close to their team's level. It can be any rare Pokemon, but don't just give out hand outs, make them work for it.
4.) You're job is to keep track of damage.
Not the member's job to keep track of it, but we are all here to help you. Even I make mistakes when I mod people~ So don't worry if you mess up sometimes.
That is basically all a NPC Mod does. but they can also give out items to people and make great story lines! It's also your job to make sure a person's plot come true! Unless we get some private plotters~
